DeliveringMore with Danny Klein
Most everyone sees the articles, social posts, and magazines from Food News Media, but who's behind the scenes pulling the strings? How far ahead are some of these topics being fleshed out and hammered with details? What kind of experience gets you into a position writing 5,000-word essays on Restaurant automation, food delivery, and of course, labor and supply chain shortages? DeliveringMore took on the task of answering all of those questions and more in this past week's episode.
Featuring the Editorial Director of Food News Media, Danny Klein, the tandem of Tristan and Ben take on another guest with an extensive backstory. Beginning as a sports writer during college at the University of Florida, Danny found his niche in what he believed would make his father proud. However, a decade later, he would ditch sports altogether for a new state and a new gig. "My wife found this Food News Media listing on Indeed, and I was like, I have no idea what the hell that is… [So] I had to give up sports writing which was part of my identity, and it was probably the best thing I ever did", he explains.
Follow along with us as we learn more about Danny's upbringing as a writer, his father's infatuation with Waffle House, and a high school hand-shake line that couldn't be missed.
