Driver Tip of the Week: Arriving Early

The ideal catering delivery driver for DeliverThat is someone who comes prepared for their deliveries and goes above and beyond for all parties involved in the delivery process. Arriving early at the pickup location will allow you to prepare for that day's delivery and future deliveries. Arriving early at the restaurant can also be beneficial if you are stacking deliveries to ensure the food is ready at the scheduled time so you can move on to the next delivery.

However, arriving early at the drop-off locations can cause issues with the delivery. Many customers schedule their drop-off times around specific eating schedules, and it is our job to ensure the delivery takes place at their desired time, so the food is hot and ready to eat. Arriving early to the drop-off is specifically worrisome on deliveries from EzCater. On these deliveries, there's a 15-minute buffer time added to the delivery. If you arrive at the app's scheduled time, you arrive 15 minutes before the customer requested the food. If you arrive before the delivery time, the customer may not be expecting you, which could tarnish the delivery experience as their food sits and is no longer hot.

If you need an adjustment to the pickup time of your delivery to ensure the food arrives as scheduled, please call the hotline below, and we will be happy to assist. Thanks for tuning in, and we will be back next week with another Driver Tip of the Week.
