eet Meagan W, a DeliverThat driver and superstar mother based in Northeast Ohio. Meagan has lived in the NEO market her whole life and has been driving for DeliverThat since 2019. In addition to working for DeliverThat, she has also worked for other app-based jobs like Shipt and Spark. She previously worked in call centers before transitioning to the gig economy.
According to Meagan, the biggest benefit of being a gig driver is the freedom to make your own schedule. “Before switching to the gig-economy, I worked in call centers for years. It was truly terrible. I sometimes still wake up in a cold sweat, thinking I’m back answering the phones. I don’t know what I would be doing now without the freedom the gig-economy has provided,” Meagan said. She discovered DeliverThat while searching for new work on the internet and was happy to be her own boss and work because she wanted to, not because she had to.
Meagan appreciates the fact that DeliverThat is a company By Drivers, For Drivers, and she feels understood by the company. “Having the option to call or text in and get an immediate response from a real person is incredible,” she said. “Everyone in the office is always so nice and so helpful, it’s so important to have that in your corner while on deliveries.”
Meagan's advice for newer drivers on the DeliverThat platform is to always have the app turned on and to be ready to receive jobs. “I would recommend getting used to the platform slowly,” she said. “Only take one delivery at a time in the beginning until you get your feet wet, and then look into stacking deliveries,” Meagan added.

When Meagan is not driving for DeliverThat, she enjoys spending time with her kids. With a 10 year old, 12 year old, and 16 year old at home, Meagan knows how critical it is to be flexible as a mother. Working the deliveries around the kids’ schedules can be a life changing lifestyle for most parents. “With all the sports and all the extracurricular activities, I’m able to take care of the kids needs between the deliveries while still making a liveable income. Its truly been a blessing,” she said.
